Overview
Under the guidance of NFTS’ highly qualified teaching staff, the students will be given an in-depth presentation of Location Management.
The course will give the opportunity to students to further develop their knowledge and skills to follow successful careers.
This course will be delivered by Jodi Moore who has been working in the Location Department since 1998 and has worked extensively across most formats but primarily Feature Films, Television Drama and Commercials. Jodi managed to use her skills as a highly experienced scout while raising a family, working round childcare responsibilities. During her five year stint at FilmFixer (London's largest provider of local council Film Offices) Jodi gained considerable expertise in permitting and working with Highways agencies to close down parts of the capital for large scale stunts. Jodi is also a visiting teacher at the National Film & Television School helping to devise and run the highly successful Veterans in Focus course. Returning to long form productions in 2019, Jodi's recent credits include Bad Sisters for Apple TV and The Diplomat for Netflix. Jodi is a member of the LMGI and on the Location Department Committee at BECTU. A regular attendee at Focus, Jodi is committed to using sustainable practices in the Location Department, particularly in the provision of non fuel based, on set power supply (hydrogen, bio fuel, battery etc)
Course Description
The course is aimed at Location Assistants making the step up to the role of Location Manager and will outline how the locations team collaborates with each department on the production to ensure the success of any shoot.

Entry requirements
Previous production experience is desirable. Applicants from other fields should demonstrate passion for pursuing a career in film or TV screenwriting.
They would also need to be 18 years old or over and have a good command of the English language, as the course will be delivered in English.
