Overview
Under the guidance of NFTS’ highly qualified teaching staff, the students will be given an in-depth presentation of Location Management. The course will give the opportunity to students to further develop their knowledge and skills to follow successful careers as HoP.
This course will be delivered by Maddy Allen has over 15 years’ experience as a Head of Production at high profile independent production companies including Raw TV, Keo Films and Field Day Productions. Her credits include the highly acclaimed Nothing Like A Dame, the River Cottage franchise and the BAFTA winning Exodus, Hugh's Fish Flight and Terry Pratchett: Choosing To Die
Course Description
With the growth of super-indies, the role of Head of Production has become a job with substantial responsibilities and rewards.
So how do you get there?
This course is aimed at Production Managers / Line Producers who are ready to make the leap into the role of HoP and are looking to consolidate their knowledge and familiarise themselves with new responsibilities.

- The Responsibilities of an HoP
- Managing People
- Overseeing Projects
- The HoP and Company Matters
- Managing Your Workload
Entry requirements
Previous production experience is desirable. Applicants from other fields should demonstrate passion for pursuing a career in film or TV as Head of Production.
They would also need to be 18 years old or over and have a good command of the English language, as the course will be delivered in English.

The applicants need to complete an online application form, in which they will elaborate on their professional background, education and experience and explain what their goals are and why they are applying for the course.

All 2022 participants will receive a full scholarship.
